School for Tousianna, Burkina Faso
The agricultural school in Tousianna, Burkina Faso, consists of a series of low-rise buildings, which house classrooms, administrative spaces and a small laboratory. The interior climate of these buildings is controlled by large roof overhangs, cross ventilation through specifically designed window frames and a system that connects the floors to the humidity of the earth. A large pavilion with a 400m2 canopy acts as a stage for communal activities such as school meetings, markets or film screenings. The school was commissioned by the Moet Foundation.
